Likud: ‘They don’t have minimal respect for the Prime Minister’

June 17, 2016

The Likud party is attacking former ministers Moshe Ya’alon and Ehud Barak, after they strongly criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and claimed that he uses extremism and fear tactics.

Coalition head David Bitan (Likud) told Army Radio, “They don’t have the minimal respect for the Prime Minister, particularly because they served under him and didn’t say a word. Now they are make these remarks because they want to run in the next elections. We need to stop giving them a platform.”

On Thursday, Ya’alon told the Herzliya Conference: “The leadership should stop giving citizens the feeling that we are on the verge of a second Holocaust.”

Similarly, Barak told conference attendees: “The government must immediately get back on track, others we will all have to get up and bring it down through ballots or through public protests.”
