400,000 Muslims pray on Temple Mount

July 3, 2016

The current wave of Palestinian terror began after Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, gave a speech in the United Nations in which he began by condemning Israel’s “repeated, systematic incursions upon Al-Aqsa Mosque.” This speech launched a new intifada to “defend” the mosque, which has led to Palestinian terrorists murdering 39 Israelis and foreign nationals.

However, notwithstanding the murderous attacks of the past few days, Palestinian media sources report that last night (July 2nd), 400,000 people prayed at al-Aqsa to mark Leylat al-Qadr, the anniversary of when Muslims believe that the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Mohammed.

Although Jewish worshipers are frequently prevented from entering the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, and the status quo forbids even the appearance of prayer for Jews, hundreds of thousands of Muslims have been permitted by the Israeli authorities to pray there.
