45.3% Of All Jewish People Now Live In Israel
September 9, 2021
Days before the new Hebrew calendar year of 5782, the number of Jews worldwide stands at approximately 15.2 million compared to 15.1 million in 5781, according to newly released statistics by the Jewish Agency for Israel.
In Israel, the number of Jews is close to 6.9 million (compared to 6.8 million in 5781), while about 8.3 million live outside the Jewish state (including around 6 million in the United States). The updated estimates by Professor Sergio Della Pergola of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will be published in the American Jewish Year Book 2021.
The numbers include those who define themselves as Jews and who do not identify with another religion. When also including those who are eligible for Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return, the world total rises to 25.3 million people, of whom 7.3 million are in Israel and 18 million live outside Israel.
The percentage of Jews living in Israel out of all the Jews in the world stands at 45.3%, an increase of half a percent over the previous year. The number of Jews living in the United States increased by an estimated 300,000, according to a new survey by the Pew Research Center.
“The year 5781 was very challenging, living in the shadow of a global epidemic, yet more than anything, it taught us the true meaning of mutual responsibility among the Jewish people,” said Acting Jewish Agency Chairman of the Executive and Chairman of the World Zionist Organization Yaakov Hagoel.
“Tens of thousands of new immigrants came to Israel with the help of the Jewish Agency despite the extreme difficulties in international travel, and thousands more young Jews came to Israel on Masa volunteer and career development programs. The Jewish Agency will continue to be a solid bridge of solidarity and mutual responsibility between each community and between the State of Israel and global Jewry,” added Hagoel.
Updated Jewish population figures from additional countries include:
France: 446,000; Canada: 393,000; Great Britain: 292,000; Argentina: 175,000; Russia: 150,000; Germany: 118,000; Australia: 118,000; Brazil: 91,500; South Africa: 52,000; Ukraine: 43,000; Hungary: 47,000; Mexico: 40,000; The Netherlands: 30,000; Belgium: 29,000; Italy: 27,000; Switzerland: 18,500; Chile: 16,000; Uruguay: 16,000; Sweden: 15,000; Turkey: 14,500; Spain: 13,000; Austria: 10,000; Panama: 10,000.
Around 27,000 Jews live in Arab and Muslim states, of whom 14,500 live in Turkey, around 9,500 in Iran, around 2,000 in Morocco, and approximately 1,000 in Tunisia.

Religion enslaves us to hierarchies structures and men. Faith liberates us to talk heart to heart with God like Noah did.
Israel should not sleep on its laurels. Its allies may not be able to help it for many diverse reasons in time of need. Israel should make sure it can defend itself with the help of God. If its allies help then great otherwise God help it!!!
There will always be some things that would not be able to be automated and need human intervention. Psychological warfare including new technologies and stealth, camouflage should be tools developed to confused and overpower the enemy.
