Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, hosted U.S. President Barack Obama for dinner at the Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem on Wednesday evening.
Before the dinner, the cameras accompanied the Netanyahus and Obama as the President signed the guestbook at the Prime Minister’s residence. The Prime Minister is heard joking with Obama about how difficult it is to be form a government in Israel, and then tells him that he knew to come at the right time for his visit – two days after the new government was sworn in.
The cameras also caught Obama having a short conversation with one of Netanyahu’s sons.
Obama wrote the following in the guestbook: “It is a great honor to reaffirm the extraordinary bonds between our two countries. By every measure, from security to our economy, our cooperation has never been greater and this in part is because of the strong commitment of Prime Minister Netanyahu. May our bonds continue to grow. On behalf of our people and prosperity for all people.”
