‘Until Hadar’s body is returned, our dignity is gone’

Prof. Simha Goldin, father of slain IDF soldier Hadar Goldin, participated on Tuesday in the launch of a national exhibition for art department graduates of parochial schools in Jerusalem.

The exhibition displays works of art created in memory of Hadar Goldin, as well as photographs of Goldin’s own artwork, which were previously shown in art galleries.

Professor Goldin addressed his son’s creativity, saying, “Artists live in the shadow of God. Hadar created and drew all his life.”

According to Goldin, “Operation Protective Edge was a war between our values and theirs – between our desire for freedom and creativity and their desire for destruction and death.”

The body of Hadar Goldin, who was killed during that war in the summer of 2014, remains in the hands of Hamas terrorists.

Professor Goldin continued to call for the return of his son’s body, stressing that “until Hadar’s body is returned, our true dignity is missing.”
