When Trump nixed a possible visit to Israel back in December, the GOP frontrunner pledged he would visit Israel after he became president. Despite talk in March of a spring trip, Trump declared he would not be flying abroad in the midst of primary season.

Now that he has clinched the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination, however, Trump may be considering a trip to the Jewish state in the coming weeks.

According to four different sources, the presumptive GOP nominee is seriously considering coming to Israel ahead of the Republican National Convention, which begins July 18th.

New York Magazine reported on Wednesday that Trump’s Orthodox Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and prominent GOP donor Sheldon Adelson are planning the trip, though the sources noted that no final decision had been made.

Two of the sources also revealed that Adelson, a vocal supporter of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, has fully embraced Trump and is preparing a new political action committee on his behalf, making him one of the few prominent GOP donors to back the nominee.

Adelson, who funded former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich’s bid for the GOP nomination in 2012, is reportedly pushing for him to be considered for Vice President or some other senior position within a Trump administration.
