Three Border Police were reported hurt in a car terror attack at Bayt Einun Junction near Hevron. One victim suffered head wounds that were initially described as moderate but his condition later deteriorated and was described as serious. He was evacuated to Hadassah ein Kerem Hospital.
Two others, one male and one female, also from the Border Police, were lightly hurt and taken to Shaare Tzedek Hospital.
Emergency teams initially treated the casualties at the scene and the junction was blocked off.
The forces fired at the terrorist in the car but he reportedly drove off into the village.
An Arab attempted to stab an Israeli Jew Sunday afternoon at the same junction, north of Kiryat Arba and Hevron.
The IDF confirmed in the minutes after the first attack that the stabbing attempt took place a clash between Arab rioters and security forces at the junction, outside the Palestinian Arab village of Bayt Einun along Route 60.
After the terrorist attempted to stab a soldier, Border Police eliminated him at the scene; no soldiers were injured in the attack.
Security forces are currently conducting an investigation at the scene.
