Jerusalem firefighters extinguished a fire Saturday night after Molotov cocktails were thrown over the fence at Hebrew University’s Mount Scopus campus.
The firebombs set thorns and brush alight on campus. Firefighters quickly stepped in to stop the fire from spreading.
Earlier in the day, dozens of acres of grass and shrubs caught fire near the Ofrit military base outside Jerusalem.
Four firefighting teams prevented the fire from spreading to the base and to the Mount Scopus area in the arson attack.
Police released footage Saturday night, which aired on Channel 2, showing a male figure disappearing for a few moments into some bushes near the military base before fleeing in the direction of the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya.
