Shooting attack in Hevron

A shooting attack took place shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron.

It appears the attack was conducted from the Abu Sneina neighborhood of Hevron with a sniper rifle. The terrorist has not been caught and IDF troops have begun a manhunt for him.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics reported that a 19-year-old Israeli female is moderately wounded with injuries to her hip.

She was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

MDA medic Hanoch Zlinger, who was at the scene, recounted: “When we arrived, we saw a 19-year-old young woman fully conscious being treated by IDF medics who had been close to the scene [of the attack].”

“She suffered a bullet wound to her lower body,” Zlinger noted. “We brought her up to the ambulance and provided her with medical treatment including fluids, bandaging medication.”
