Magen David Adom (MDA) received reports early on Monday of a man stabbed in the northern city of Afula Ilit.

The man was apparently a security guard at the local Nofim school, and MDA medics were dispatched to the scene to provide medical treatment before apparently evacuating the man to Haemek Hospital in the city.

The victim was lightly wounded in the attack and the terrorist fled the scene; security forces are in pursuit to track down the attacker.

Currently there are conflicting reports as to whether the guard was hit or actually stabbed, as details regarding the incident continue to coalesce. The incident is under investigation.
