Runaway bride: One wife of the leader of the Islamic State (ISIS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, fled from the territory controlled by the jihadist group in Iraq, according to Iraqi media reports.
German Diane Kruger disappeared under mysterious circumstances from the terrorist camp, along with two female assistants.
Following the disappearance of his wife, Al-Baghdadi ordered an elite squad to locate her whereabouts, and detain her along with her helpers.
The ISIS leader married Kruger in October 2015 in the province of Ninawa. Following the marriage, she served as the head of ISIS’s Sharia Court, where she administered women’s daily affairs in the occupied Iraqi provinces, as well as leading a special camp which trained women to carry out suicide operations.
This is not the first a former spouse escaped from al-Baghdadi. In 2014, the Lebanese authorities captured a pregnant Saja Dulaimi who gave birth in prison to a baby girl confirmed as al-Baghdadi daughter by DNA analysis, according to reports.
