Netanyahu: We’ll Strike Whomever Tries to Strike Us

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon (Likud) and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, visited the northern theater Tuesday and received briefings from top commanders.

Netanyahu used the opportunity to warn against the funds that will flow to Iran as a result of the nuclear deal struck with world powers.

“Iran’s leader (Ali) Khamenei said yesterday: ‘We will take all steps to support all those who fight Israel,’” he told reporters. “Iran’s foreign minister (Mohammad) Zarif said a few days ago in Beirut, in a meeting with Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah: ‘the nuclear deal has created a historic opportunity to stand against the Zionist entity.'”

“Everything we have always said is true and accurate,” he stated. “The money that will flow to Iran following the nuclear accord will be used to strengthen the terrorist organizations that operate against us in its name and under its sponsorship, with the avowed aim of destroying Israel.

“I visited the Northern Command along with the Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff, the Command Head and the commanders on the ground, in order to assess the IDF’s preparedness for these threats. The IDF is a strong army, the state of Israel is a strong state, we are ready for any scenario. Whoever tries to strike us, we will strike him.”

Ya’alon also said that the Iranians are sending their proxies to carry out attacks against Israel.

“Representatives of the (Iranian) Revolutionary Guards are, in effect, waiting here for the implementation of the bad deal being made with the powers, in order to bring more money to Hezbollah and to the other terror organizations, both in the Golan Heights and in the Palestinian theater.”

He also noted that there are terrorist stabbing attempts in Judea and Samaria “nearly every day.”

“We will not allow any terrorist organization to hurt soldiers and civilians. We will continue to take various steps against terror. This week, I approved the destruction of more homes of terrorists who have already carried out their plots, as part of the deterrent steps to prevent terror.”
