Netanyahu: Lieberman is a ‘blabbering’ leftist

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu bashed his former ally and one-time protégé, MK Avigdor Lieberman (Yisrael Beitenu), on Monday, during a Likud party meeting.

Netanyahu mocked former Foreign Minister Lieberman’s “emergency” meeting with MK Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) on Monday regarding Israel’s foreign relations, dismissively addressing the meeting while labeling the two as leftists.

“The coalition chairman notified me that several left-wing parties held an emergency political meeting today,” Netanyahu told the gathering of Likud MKs.

“There are those who choose to blabber on and do political meetings, and then there are those who push back on the pressures against Israel and work to strengthen international ties to ensure our future here.”

Lieberman struck back at Netanyahu, charging him with selling out to the Arab Joint List party.

“Everybody knows who sat around laughing in his office with Ayman Odeh and Jamal Zahalka and gave them money – it was Netanyahu.”
