Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Friday blasted the IDF over its alleged “attacks” in Gaza.
Speaking in a speech in Beirut and quoted by Channel 10 News, Nasrallah said that “unfortunately the Arab world is silent about the situation in Gaza”, and added that “these actions must be condemned, so they do not continue.”
“It does not matter if the resistance is in Gaza or in Lebanon – it will always continue as long as there is occupation,” the Hezbollah leader declared.
The comments come amid continued tensions in Gaza. Gazan terrorists lobbed mortar shells at Engineering Corps troops Friday, one day after three separate Hamas mortar attacks were launched at roughly two hour intervals by Gazan terrorists on IDF soldiers near the security border in southern Gaza. The IAF responded in kind Friday, shelling terror targets in northern Gaza.
At least six mortar attacks were launched in the two days before that, but the terrorists were unable to prevent Israel from unearthing a new Hamas terror tunnel on Thursday morning.
Earlier on Friday, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said that his Islamist terror movement is not seeking war with Israel, but will not tolerate its troops entering Gaza.
“We are not calling for a new war, but we will not under any circumstance accept these incursions,” he said in a prayer sermon in Gaza.
“We sent multiple messages that the resistance will not allow the Israeli occupation army to impose new rules within the borders of the Gaza Strip,” continued the senior terrorist.
