New details surrounding the exploits of MK Oren Hazan in Bulgaria have reportedly emerged, Channel 2 disclosed Monday evening, nearly two months after the freshman MK was elected to the Knesset at the 30 spot on Likud’s list.
Hazan, the son of disgraced former MK Yehiel Hazan, spent several years in the European nation managing a casino hotel in Burgas before returning to Israel and joining Likud.
Since his election in March, Hazan has been appointed Deputy Knesset Speaker as well as a member of five top Knesset committees.
According to Channel 2’s report, a number of Israelis who knew Hazan, as well as several local officials who had business relations with him, claim that running the casino was just the tip of the iceberg for Hazan.
The sources allege Hazan did business with a local escort agency called “Red Rose” providing female escorts, out of pocket, to Israeli gamblers visiting the casino.
Israeli tourists interviewed in the news report also claim the MK used hard drugs with them, in particular crystal meth.
MK Hazan responded to Channel 2’s report, denying all allegations against him.
“I’m sorry to disappoint you, but your fantasies, your personal and sick imaginations and those that feed you are not consistent with reality and truth,” he said.
