Tal Yehoshua-Koren, the Israeli who was wounded in Monday’s terror attack in New Delhi, boarded a flight on Friday afternoon on her way back to Israel.

Channel 10 reported that Yehoshua-Koren was released from the hospital in India earlier in the day, and was flown to Israel on a special flight organized by the Ministry of Defense.

According to the report, Yehoshua-Koren took off with her family aboard a special ambulance plane and that upon her arrival in Israel, she will be treated and taken care of by employees of the Ministry of Defense. Her return to Israel was made possible after an improvement in her condition.

Yehoshua-Koren, the wife of an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi, was seriously wounded but may have saved her own life by dashing out of her vehicle when she saw a motorcyclist attaching a device to her car. It turned out to be magnetic bomb that exploded seconds later and twisted the car into mangled pieces of metal.

Earlier this week, she recalled the attack as she lay in her hospital bed and spoke with the Hebrew language newspaper Yediot Acharonot.

“I remember seeing the motorcyclist, who apparently threw something in the direction of the car,” she said.

She said she is fortunate that her children were not in the vehicle when it was bombed.
