Israeli man stabbed in Jerusalem, circumstances unclear

A 20-year old Israeli man was wounded in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Zeev on Thursday morning.

Police are currently investigating the incident, and have yet to determine whether the attack was an act of terrorism or a crime unrelated to nationalistic motives.

The victim was lightly injured and fully conscious. He was transferred to the Hadassah Ein Karem hospital for treatment.

Last November, two Arab terrorists stabbed an Israeli security guard on the Jerusalem light rail as it traveled through Pisgat Zeev. A month earlier, another pair of terrorists stabbed two civilians, including a 12-year old boy, in Pisgat Zeev. In 2012 a female soldier was repeatedly stabbed by an Arab terrorist on board the light rail train in Pisgat Zeev.
