Islamic Jihad: ‘We’ll Strike Even Where You Have the Iron Dome’

Islamic Jihad  has directly threatened Israel on Friday, after the IDF eliminated 14 terror targets in Syria after terrorists fired rockets on the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee – and possibly eliminated a senior Syrian army commander as well.

The IDF reported late Thursday that the hit may have been ordered by the Iranian Al-Quds force, and was carried out by Islamic Jihad.

On Friday, Islamic Jihad denied that it was responsible for Thursday’s rocket fire, and stated that it views Israel’s retaliatory airstrikes as an excuse to hit its targets in Syria.

“We’ll know when to respond to an Israeli attack – and it will be on the places which Israel strengthened with the Iron Dome [missile defense system – ed.] yesterday,” Islamic Jihad spokesperson Daud Sinhab threatened on Iran’s Al-Miyadan news outlet Friday.

Sinhab did not specify which places, but was apparently referring to Be’er Sheva and Ashdod.
