Is IDF Allowing PA to Take Over Judea, Samaria?

November 15, 2011

The Civil Administration, an arm of the IDF, plans to solve charges of bias in favor of illegal Arab buildings – by defining them as legal.

Jewish leaders in Judea and Samaria have complained for years that Civil Administration, under the command of Defense Minister Ehud Barak and the IDF, destroys Jewish homes that do not have Barak’s required signature for approval but ignores thousands of illegal Arabs structures.

The High Court also has questioned whether the government is illegally discriminating against Jews.

The Civil Administration has come up with a way to solve the problem with one stroke of the pen and is preparing documents that would make the buildings legal in “Area C,” which is defined in the Oslo Accords as being under full control of Israel.

The new policy will affect contiguous areas that cover thousands of structures and is intended not to damage the “peace process” or hinder security, sources told Army Radio.

Legalizing illegal Arab homes could be the death knell to most Israeli communities outside the major population centers of Ariel, Gush Etzion and Maaleh Adumim.

A policy of “benign neglect” has allowed Arabs, often escorted or led by foreign leftists, to uproot farms planted by Jews and take over land without interference by the police.

The result has been a de facto dominance of the Palestinian Authority (PA) in areas that Arabs only sparsely populated a few years ago.

The European Union and leftist NGOs have paid millions of dollars to Arabs to move to ”Area C.”

After the beginning of the Oslo War, also known as the Second Intifada, the IDF took a defensive position while PA terrorists in Gaza carried out hundreds of terrorist attacks against Jews in Gush Katif and northern Gaza.

As the death toll of Jews mounted, media carried out a campaign that Gush Katif was indefensible, and then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon won Knesset approval for the destruction of the Jewish communities and expelling their 9,000 residents.

Following the evacuation of the IDF from Gaza, terrorists bombarded southern Israeli communities, some of which had never been under rocket fire, with thousands of missiles.
