IDF Tanks Fire on Gaza Terrorists

An IDF force spotted a terrorist squad Monday around noon, as it planted two explosive charges near the northern section of the security fence separating Gaza and Israel.

The IDF Spokesman’s Unit said that the Israeli soldiers fired tank shells at the terrorists and identified hits on target.

Arab news sources said that three people had been hurt in the incident but claimed that it had taken place in an agricultural field.

“The presence of terror elements in proximity to the security fence is exploited for placing explosive charges, planning terror attacks and attempts to abduct soldiers,” the Spokesman’s Unit said. “It endangers the residents of Israel and the security forces operating in the area.”
