Two terrorists arrived at Bekaot Checkpoint on Saturday morning, located adjacent to Shechem (Nablus) in Samaria, and tried to stab soldiers who were manning the site.
A male a female soldier from the Arayot Hayarden Battalion swiftly identified the terrorists, who were aged 23 and 38, and shot them dead.
The IDF and Border Police were active on Shabbat, demolishing the home of the terrorist Muhannad Halabi in Surda, an Arab village located adjacent to Ramallah in Samaria.
Halabi stabbed to death two Israelis in the Old City of Jerusalem in early October, in one of the first high-profile attacks of the current Arab terror wave. He has since been turned into a hero by the Palestinian Authority.
The demolition comes roughly three months after Halabi murdered Rabbi Nehemia Lavi and IDF soldier Aharon Banita, and also wounded Banita’s wife and infant son.
