IDF Prevents Terror Attack in Gush Etzion

IDF soldiers were able to prevent a terrorist attack on Saturday night, when they arrested four terrorists who approached the fence surrounding the community of Migdal Oz in Gush Etzion, a religious kibbutz.

The four were caught with makeshift weapons and three knives after IDF look-outs identified them and called the troops.

Earlier on Saturday, it was reported that Arabs hurled firebombs and rocks towards Israeli vehicles in Gush Etzion. There were no casualties, but damage was caused to one of the vehicles. IDF forces searched the area .

On Friday afternoon, a 16-year-old female Arab terrorist tried to stab a border policeman at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem.

Border Police officers who were at the scene prevented the girl from carrying out the attack. As they wrestled the knife away from her, one of them was lightly wounded in the leg. He did not require treatment.

Arab terrorists have carried out numerous attacks against Israelis in recent weeks.

In fact, in late December the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) released statistics which show that terror attacks are on the rise.

The numbers for November 2013 showed the highest number of terror attacks in 2013: 167, up from 82 in July.
