‘IDF Civil Administration acts like a Third World country’

Chairman of the Subcommittee for Judea and Samaria, MK Moti Yogev, spoke with Arutz Sheva Sunday regarding illegal Arab construction in Judea and Samaria.

Speaking in a strategic area east of Jerusalem, Yogev said, “we are currently standing in an E1 zone where a neighborhood was meant to connect Ma’ale Adumim to Jerusalem, but instead hundreds of buildings illegally constructed by Palestinians stand here now under the auspices of the EU.”

“I call it ‘terror building,'” he said, condemning what he termed the inexplicable incompetence of the civil administration.

Yogev directly accuses the Civil Administration being given orders to enforce the law in the area and not actually do anything with them, and further accused it of conducting itself as if it were a Third World country.

During the course of the week, Yogev will join a discussion on the subject in the sub-committee he heads.

“At the same time I will also contact the Foreign Ministry to address the European countries investing money here as blatant interference in the territory of the State of Israel.”

“If the Civil Administration will not operate as it is meant to, their powers should be transferred to the appropriate government body, and they will take charge of moving towards the next step in applying sovereignty,” he said.

MK Yogev also discussed the terrorist Nashat Milhem who murdered three people in Tel Aviv, and how he was aided by other Arab citizens of Israel from his hometown of Arara.

“I commend the Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency) and the police who took action and killed the terrorist. Israeli Arabs operate against Israel, and I have no doubt that the security forces were able to capture those who helped the terrorist.”
