“Three martyrs have died in a Zionist (Israeli) strike east of Rafah,” Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told AFP.
The IDF Spokesman’s Unit announced that the people killed were terrorists from the Islamic Jihad organization. They had fired mortar shells at IDF soldiers performing “routine operational activities” in the Kerem Shalom area.
An IDF “Sky Rider” type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed Tuesday morning in southern Gaza following a technical malfunction. The IDF is looking into the incident.
Sky Rider UAVs – the smallest UAVs in the IDF arsenal – serve the IDF’s Artillery Corps for collection of information that assists the ground forces.
