A 14-year-old youth in Ma’ale Adumim was struck by a car while using a crosswalk this evening (Saturday).

First responders treated the teen at the scene, then brought him to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. Doctors say that he is in moderate condition and has injuries on his chest and head.

The driver who struck him disappeared, leaving the boy in the middle of the street. About an hour later he turned himself in to the police. He is described as a resident of Ma’ale Adumim, though no further information has been given.
