Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah met with a German dignitary just days after Samir Kuntar’s assassination and told him that Hezbollah would extract a heavy price from Israel for Kuntar’s death.  

The German emissary had reportedly traveled to Lebanon after the hit in an effort to calm tensions.

According to the report, Nasrallah said in response: “Hezbollah’s response to Kuntar’s death has already been decided upon and we cannot turn back time. The days when Hezbollah overlooked Israel assassinating its members are gone.”

According to the reports, the emissary left Lebanon the next day.

The IDF has been amassing troops along the northern border as tensions mount with the Lebanese terror group. While the IDF has not issued an official statement regarding the troop movements, they are preparing should Nasrallah want to make good on his statements.

IDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Gadi Eizenkot toured some of the forward positions in the north yesterday to give his support to the troops as well as observe operations in the field.   

With the Syrian army advancing on rebel troops in the southern parts of the country, the IDF is gearing up for attacks of all types on that front of the northern border as well.

While the army currently is operating under the impression that the various terror groups and militias in Syria’s south are not currently aiming their attacks at Israel, the IDF is not resting on its laurels, and is heightening readiness on both northern fronts.
