Police have informed the family of Ghassan Abu Jamal, one of two terrorists who butchered five people in the Har Nof synagogue in Jerusalem in November, that their home will be razed Wednesday.

The family resides in Jabal Mukaber, in eastern Jerusalem.

Ghassan Abu Jamal’s widow is to be evicted from Jerusalem, after her residency status was revoked by the Minister of Interior.

Last Wednesday, security forces sealed the home of the second terrorist who perpetrated the massacre, Ghassan Abu Jamal’s cousin, Uday.

The terrorists stormed the synagogue armed with knives, a meat cleaver and a pistol, inflicting horrific wounds on their victims, which also included eight injured – four of them seriously.

The four Jewish victims – Rabbi Moshe Twersky, Rabbi Kalman Levine, Aryeh Kupinsky, and Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, hy”d – left behind grieving widows and 24 orphans between them.

Druze police officer Sergeant Major Zidan Seif was killed by the terrorists when he tried to stop them as they left the scene of the crime.

The terrorists were shot dead by police.

Despite the horrific nature of the attack, which appeared to take a page from ISIS’s playbook, the administrative steps against the two murderer’s homes have been slow in materializing.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu ordered the demolition of the homes in November, along with that of the home of terrorist Ibrahim Al-Akari, who rammed his car into a Jerusalem light rail station that month, killing two people.

It has taken eight months to carry out the demolition and sealing of the Abu Jamal homes, with the IDF and police blaming each other for the delays.

A source involved in the demolition process told Channel 2 that the political system leaves some room for the IDF to decide that a demolition could harm Israel’s security, e.g. spark rioting or other unrest, and thus to quietly veto the order by calling for an unspecified delay.

According to Haaretz, police have informed the family of Muatez Hijazi that his room will be sealed in the coming days. Hijazi tried to assassinate Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick, and was shot by police.

The IDF razed the flat of the Shaludi family on November 19, 2014; Abdelrahman Shaludi was responsible for the first “car rampage” attack in Jerusalem on October at a light rail station. A young woman and a 3-month-old baby girl were murdered in that attack.
