Almost a year after the massacre in Har Nof, in which two terrorists attacked a synagogue with guns and axes, one of the wounded men has died from his injuries.
Rabbi Haim Yehiel Rotman was praying at the Kehilat Bnei Torah synagogue last November when the terrorist broke in. He received multiple blows to the head from an axe, and had been in a vegetative coma ever since.
Rabbi Rotman was 55 years old and is survived by his wife and their 10 children.
The funeral will take place at 10:00 pm tonight (Saturday), beginning at Kehilat Bnei Torah and ultimately reaching the Givat Shaul cemetery, where he will be buried.
The terrorists killed four worshippers at the scene, as well as one police officer. The initial five were Rabbi Moshe Twersky, Rabbi Kalman Levine, Aryeh Kupinsky, Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, and First Sergeant Zidan Seif. Both terrorists were killed at the scene by police.
