Hamas, Turkey heads meet as Israel, Turkey grow closer

Khaled Mashal, the head of Hamas, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul today (Saturday).

The move comes as Turkey and Israel work towards improving their relations, which have been rocky ever since the 2010 Gaza flotilla incident.

Hamas has not yet commented on the warming connection between Turkey and Israel, though one of its founders, Mahmoud al-Zahar, has said that the terror group is waiting for Turkey to release an official statement on the matter.
