Hacker Group ‘Anonymous’ Threatens AIPAC

The international internet hacker network ‘Anonymous’ released another YouTube video on Sunday, this time, specifically targeting the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

In February, ‘Anonymous’ issued a similar video accusing Israel of committing “war crimes” and having “taken steps to ensure a nuclear Holocaust.” Last June the group unsuccessfully attempted to take down the website of the Israeli Knesset.

“Just a few weeks ago we declared our Crusade against the government of Israel and all supporting counterparts for their involvement in war propaganda, crimes against humanity and the systematic genocide and expulsion of minorities,” says the narrator, whose computer-generated voice speaks over inauspicious background music.

“Now, AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, want to lobby for more war, more destruction, more deaths than they have already committed, unfortunately,” the voice continues. “Our President has decided to defend them for it. Our government’s foreign policy has no sovereignty to America. Its sovereignty is to the State of Israel.

“AIPAC is now our enemy. We’re calling for an occupation of AIPAC and the destruction of their websites. Make them pay for their crimes,” the voice warns. “We are anonymous… We do not forgive. We must certainly not forget.”

The video ends with the threat, “Expect us or perish.”

On Sunday morning there were reports that the AIPAC website was inaccessible. In a Twitter message the same day ‘Anonymous’ claimed responsibility for the website’s crash, saying “Gosh, the AIPAC website sure looks TANGO DOWN to us. Wonder why?”

At the beginning of their campaign, the Internet hackers vowed, “Our crusade against your reign of terror shall commence in three steps. Step one will be initiated after the release of this video and will be comprised of systematically removing you from the Internet. Step two will be later disclosed and is already in initiation. And as for step 3, we’ll think of this one as a present from Anonymous to you.”

“We will not stop until the police state becomes a free state,” they declared.

In January, a Saudi hacker under the alias of 0xOmar, who published tens of thousands of Israeli credit card numbers on the Internet said, “This is the beginning of cyber war against Israel, you are not safe anymore.” At that time, 0xOmar, in an online post, urged hackers from across the Arab and Muslim world to target Israeli websites.
