Senator John McCain is a “crazy senator who lives in a dream” of molding others according to the American model, according to a former Egyptian foreign minister.
The comments by Ahmad Abu Al-Gheit were made in an interview which aired on December 4 on the Egyptian Al-Hayat TV channel and was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
“That man, McCain – I call him a crazy man. He is a crazy senator who lives in a dream of molding people, countries, and society according to the model of the United States and its ruling system, disregarding all the quintessential differences between these countries,” charged Al-Gheit.
McCain has been a vocal critic of President Barack Obama’s foreign policy as a whole and specifically of his and Secretary of State John Kerry’s policies in the Middle East.
McCain attacked Kerry’s efforts to force through a peace deal in Israel, calling him a “human wrecking ball” last November.
MEMRI has exposed several videos in which officials in Arab countries accuse the United States, as well as Israel, of trying to interfere in their country’s affairs and control the Arab world.
One clip showed an Egyptian television report which claimed that “The Simpsons” was devised by Jewish lobbies and think tanks and financed by Rupert Murdoch.
Another clip exposed by MEMRI showed a Saudi scholar who claimed in a television interview that there is a “Jewish-Zionist conspiracy to destroy the moral values of humanity.”
The scholar claimed that characters on children’s shows, like Mickey Mouse and Sesame Street, were invented to advance these schemes.
In another instance, an Islamic scholar explained how, according to him, the Jews bought the largest media outlets in the U.S., infiltrated elections campaigns and practiced extortion to gain political and economic control and to destroy the moral values of nations.
Iran’s Deputy Chief of Staff Masoud Jazayeri claimed, in another video posted by MEMRI, that the United States – encouraged by Israel – is responsible for the terrorism in the Middle East.
“Personally, I believe that terrorism is strongly connect to the U.S. administration, as part of its compliance with the demands by the Zionist Entity, in the short, medium, and long terms. Unfortunately, some European countries, and some of America’s lackeys in the region, play a role in this,” claimed Jazayeri.
“All the evidence shows that the U.S. heads terrorism in the region,” he continued. “We witnessed this in Lebanon, it was very clear with regard to the Gaza Strip, as well as in Afghanistan, and now it can undoubtedly, be seen in Syria. As you know, the war of terrorism here is a proxy war waged by the U.S., and the same holds true for Iraq.”
