A ten-year-old boy and four men aged 50 to 60 drowned in the course of the weekend.

At around 7:30 p.m. Friday, an MDA team arrived at Charles Clore beach in Tel Aviv, where a 10-year-old boy was pulled out of the water after he had drowned. He was unconscious and had no pulse. He was taken to Ichilov Hospital but doctors failed to save him.

Also on Friday, a man aged about 60 drowned at the Maagan Michael beach, north of Netanya.

A 50-year-old man was pulled from the sea Saturday afternoon after he drowned in the Students’ Beach in Haifa. Resuscitation efforts by Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics failed to revive him.

At 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a man aged around 60 was dragged out of the water at the Sdot Yam beach. Paramedics tried to revive him but had to confirm his death.

At around 11:00 a.m. Saturday, MDA received a report that said a man was pulled out of the water near the Tzanz beach in Netanya. He had been swimming in an area where swimming is not allowed, and lifeguards had pulled him out of the water. The MDA team found him unconscious and without a pulse. Resuscitation efforts failed.

One hour earlier, hikers informed MDA’s Jordan District that a resident of Sakhnin was pulled out of the Hatzbani River after he had drowned, near Sde Nehemia. The MDA operator gave the hikers instructions of resuscitating the man and a helicopter was sent to the location, MDA paramedics succeeded in bringing back the man’s pulse and he was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. However, his condition deteriorated afterward.
