Dozens of worldwide fashion writers converge this week on Israel as guests of the Tourism Ministry, visiting as part of Tel Aviv Fashion Week.

The ministry is hosting 64 leading fashion and lifestyle journalists from elite magazines worldwide as part of the 3-day event which opens Monday.

Leading designers, journalists and fashion experts representing fashion magazines and newspapers all expressed great interest in coming to Israel, the ministry noted.

VOGUE Magazine, a world leader in the fashion industry, is sending representatives from Italy, Germany and Russia.

ELLE is sending writers from France, Italy, Japan, Canada and Finland.

COSMOPOLITAN, meanwhile, has said it will send journalists from Norway and China.

Other reporters expected to flank the catwalk will be flying in from CNN, the British Sun, and fashion writers from France, Germany, Italy, the United States, Great Britain, Japan, Russia, China, Canada, Poland, Finland, Mexico, Norway and Slovakia.

Tours of Israel and other various marketing activities by the ministry will be especially designed to expose decision makers worldwide to the various tourism, culture, leisure and entertainment opportunities available in the Jewish State.

“The Ministry of Tourism invests significant resources and uses various means to reach out to new markets and advertise the attractive tourism product Israel has to offer,” said Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov.

“Fashion aficionados tend to follow new and leading trends, and are attracted to cultural, historical and entertainment options which are all part of Israel’s unique tourism product.”
