Emboldened Terrorists Hurl Firebombs at Beit El

Arab terrorists hurled a firebomb Tuesday at the community of Beit El, in the Binyamin region, north of Jerusalem. No one was hurt and no damage was caused. A similar attack took place on Monday, too.

Tuesday’s firebomb landed close to the community’s perimeter fence, just a few meters away from some houses.

IDF forces began combing the area next to the community in search of the perpetrators.

The Beit El council said that the attacks mark a serious uptick in the severity of the terror attacks on the community: “These firebombs are being thrown in broad daylight and extremely close to the community’s houses,” a source noted.

Also Monday, an IDF soldier was lightly wounded by rocks thrown at Jelazoun, near Beit El.

It is a matter of general consensus among nationalists that the IDF’s hands are currently tied in dealing with terrorists in Judea and Samaria, kargeky due to legal restrictions on using force against terrorists, except in extreme situations. This was vividly brought home by a video uplaoded to Youtube last month, showing a soldier using his bare hands to defend himself from rocks being thrown at him near Jelazoun.
