Donald Trump to Run for US President

Donald Trump has announced he will be running in the race to become the Republican party’s presidential candidate in 2016.

The billionaire real estate mogul officially threw his hat into the ring at New York City’s Trump Towers, after months of toying with the idea.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States and we are going to make our country great again,” he declared to his supporters at the launch event, according to the Washington Times.

The 69-year-old investor is polling well behind the GOP’s more popular candidates, but claimed that he alone had what it takes to tackle unemployment and revitalize the US economy.

“I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created,” Trump said. “I will bring back our jobs from China, from Mexico from Japan, from so many places. I will bring back our jobs and our money.”

He also noted that he would not be in the pocket of big donors, stating bluntly: “I am really rich.”
