A soldier who was very seriously wounded in an attack on Saturday night has seen some improvement in his condition, doctors say.  The soldier suffered serious injuries to the head and eyes in the assault.

Four soldiers with the IDF’s Givati brigade were wounded when Gaza terrorists fired an anti-tank missile at a jeep. The soldier with head wounds, who was most critically wounded, has undergone multiple surgeries and remains in Soroka hospital’s intensive care unit.

However, on Tuesday doctors reported that he has regained consciousness and is breathing independently.

Of the other three soldiers hurt in the attack, one was seriously injured with shrapnel wounds, one suffered moderate shrapnel wounds, and one was in light-to-moderate condition after being hit by the shock wave of the blast.

One is in Soroka hospital, and two others were taken to Ashkelon’s Barzilai hospital.
