Complaint filed against artist who called to kill right-wingers

Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir filed a complaint with the Deputy State (special assignments) Attorney, Amit Issam, and asked him to act strongly against Israeli artist Meir Mendelssohn’s instigations.

The artist published on his Facebook account incitement against right-wing activists Dr. Michael Ben-Ari and Baruch Marzel, and against lawyers Itamar Ben Gvir and Yoram Sheftel.

Among other things, Mendelssohn wrote: “join the Israeli intifada against the Nazis of Israel’s right… prejudice that stir up hatred, are no better than the Nazis” and added “Kill Nazis immediately!!”

Mendelssohn attached a picture of the four men in Nazi uniform, and attached to another post the photo along with that of a gun.

“We have already seen how words lead to murder and must not underestimate incitement of the extreme leftists that for some reason are immune by the prosecution,” wrote Ben Gvir.

Dr. Michael Ben-Ari responded that “this is a test of the justice system, will it know to stop the incitement of the left? Or does the Prosecutor’s office lights turn on only when it comes to indictments against rightists?”
