One of the exhibits at the Presidential Conference in Jerusalem centered on research into the human brain, with a spotlight on Israeli research.
Francine Hazan of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Brain Campaign Coordinator and exhibition co-organizer, told Arutz Sheva:
“In this day and age, we need to understand ourselves better, and on the other hand, we are facing a rapidly aging population, and the incidence of neuro-degenerative diseases is on the increase and we’re getting to a point where we really need to understand the human brain better so that we can take care of ourselves.
“This is our future,” Hazan said, “we’re not just taking care of our parents’ generation now.”
