Boston Doctors Praise Israeli Training

April 20, 2013

The Boston Marathon bombings left at least three people dead, including an eight-year-old boy, and injured more than 170 people, but in the aftermath of the horrific attack doctors and staff at the Massachusetts General Hospital have praised emergency expertise gained from Israel.

According to Dr. Alasdair Conn, the hospital’s triage system had been set up with the help of Israelis two years ago, improving how the wounded were distributed between hospitals, as well the methods used to locate shrapnel deep in wounds.

The injuries resulting from the bombing include loss of limbs, and amputations, as well as shrapnel wounds – injuries all too familiar in Israel, which has bit hit by dozens of bomb attacks by Palestinian terrorists.

Thirteen people have lost limbs or had amputations so far and several more are still fighting to keep mangled limbs while the investigation into who planted the bombs continues.

Wow, those poor people. I give praise to the doctors who had to try to save so many lives at once time and to repair injuries. That is so great that they have been using the Israeli techniques and learned 2 year prior to this incident how to remove shrapnel that were in deep wounds.
