Education Minister Naftali Bennett has won first place in an annual Knesset Channel poll ranking the public’s satisfaction with politicians.
The poll, presented on the “Central Game” program, rates the performance of all current Knesset members and government ministers.
The Jewish Home chairman was followed by Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home). Finance Minister and Kulanu chairman Moshe Kahlon came in fourth.
According to the poll conducted by the Yifat Gat research institute, Bennett also came in second place as the minister with the greatest number of references, preceded only by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Bennett’s favorable rankings have been attributed to his advancement of much-needed reforms in the Education Ministry.
These include: reducing the number of students in a classroom, adding an assistant teacher in kindergartens, and recruiting former president Shimon Peres for a national program promoting the study of mathematics.
