Arabs Hurl Firebombs at Beit El Gate

Arabs hurled four firebombs at the gate of the community of Beit El in the Binyamin region Thursday evening. No one was hurt and no damage was caused.

Arabs also threw a firebomb at a Border Police team at Ras el Amud, in eastern Jerusalem. No one was hurt in that incident, either.

On Wednesday, Arabs threw a firebomb at an IDF position on the Gush Etzion – Hevron road. In another incident, Arabs from the village Deir Abu Mashaal threw a fire bomb at a car that passed on the road leading to the Binyamin communities. They did not realize that the people in the car were Arabs. In both incidents, no one was hurt.

 The Shin Bet summary of terror statistics for February shows a meaningful spike in the number of terror acts and attempted terror acts in all regions. There were 31 terror incidents in Gaza, compared to 15 in January. The number of rockets fired at Israel was 36, compared to 9 in the preceding month.

In Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, firebomb incidents climbed from 39 in January to 67 in February.
