Rabbis from the Rabbinical Council of America arrived in Israel on Tuesday for a three-day solidarity mission with residents of the south, who are facing constant rocket and missile attacks by Gaza terrorists.

The rabbis started their mission in Kiryat Malachi, where three citizens were killed last week when a missile exploded in a building in the city. They also met Rabbi Chaim Druckman, Chairman of the Bnei Akiva yeshivas.

On Wednesday, the rabbis will visit Be’er Sheva, where they will meet mayor Rubik Danilovich and his deputy, Avi Vurtsman, and will also tour the city of Sderot. On Thursday they will visit the Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon and bring gifts to people who have been wounded in the rocket attacks. They will also meet the chairman of the Jewish Home party, Naftali Bennett.

The rabbinic organization Tzohar has been helping in putting together the itinerary for the solidarity mission.

Tzohar has also opened a hotline for residents of southern Israel whose homes have been targeted by Hamas in its latest terror offensive.

The hotline will provide expert answers in matters of Jewish law (halakha), as well as psychological assistance and guidance on various topics, including handling children’s trauma.
