Again: UK Labour activist suspended over anti-Semitism

Once again, the British Labour party has been forced to suspend a member due to anti-Semitic comments, The Jewish Chronicle reported Thursday.

The member in question is Musabbir Ali, who posted a link online claiming that “Jews control Britain and are committing genocide on us”.

Ali, a member of the Tower Hamlets Labour Party in east London who used to serve as a campaign officer, “has been suspended pending an investigation”, a party spokeswoman confirmed to The Jewish Chronicle.

Ali had reportedly tweeted a link to the blog post headed “Timeline Of The Jewish Genocide Of The British People” on Tuesday.

According to the article, British “Jews swore their revenge” after being “finally expelled” from the country in 1290.

It then tells readers that “The Jews financed Oliver Cromwell’s otherthrowing and beheading of Stuart King Charles I after he refused them control of England’s finances.”

It also accuses numerous British leaders of being “Jewish puppets,” including Cromwell, Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill, Edward Heath and Tony Blair.

Ali has previously tweeted “I think it’s must be work evil #Israeli” about the Islamic State (ISIS) bombings in the Turkish capital, Ankara, in October, which killed more than 100 people, according to The Jewish Chronicle.

“#Jews will pay 7times more for their #sins – #Islam will #unite the #religious world,” another tweet from November read.

Ali’s suspension marks the latest in a string of similar incidents involving members of the Labour Party, which is embroiled in an anti-Semitism scandal.

Around 20 Labour Party members, activists, MPs and councillors have been suspended in recent months due to anti-Semitic comments.

The party recently suspended three members in one day over anti-Semitic comments, and later the same day, sources in the party revealed that Labour has secretly suspended 50 of its members over anti-Semitic and racist comments in recent months.
