After five straight days of severe storms across Israel last week, rain will return this week to greet November.
Sunday will be partly cloudy with a slight increase in temperature. In the afternoon, northerly winds will be felt along the coast.
There will be no noticeable drop in temperature on Monday, but locals rains are expected in northern and eastern Israel.
On Tuesday morning, the temperature will drop slightly though skies will be clear. In the afternoon, however, local rain may begin to fall in the eastern part of the country, giving way to heavy rain, thunderstorms and possible flooding Tuesday night in southern Israel.
Temperatures will drop even further on Wednesday and sporadic thunderstorms are expected throughout the country.
There is a grave threat of flooding from rivers in southern and eastern Israel. Strong eastern winds and haze are also expected.
Temperature forecast for Sunday: Golan Heights – 27°C (81°), Haifa – 25° (77°), Tel Aviv – 27° (81°), Jerusalem – 24° (75°), Shfela region – 28° (82°), Be’er Sheva – 29° (84°), Dead Sea – 31° (88°), and Eilat – 31° (88°).
