Fourteen original works of art by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler will go up for auction in southern Germany later this month, AFP reported on Tuesday. 

The watercolors and drawings date to between 1904 and 1922 with many bearing the signature “A. Hitler,” the catalogue of Nuremberg-based Weidler auctioneers displayed on its website.

The pieces are expected to be sold for between $1,120 and $50,700 apiece; the auction will take place from June 18-June 20.

According to AFP, the most expensive painting is of King Ludwig II’s Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, now a tourist site. 

Several of Hitler’s works have previously been put up for auction in Germany, with a 1914 watercolor selling for $161,000 in November 2014 from a Nuremberg auctionhouse. 

Five additional Hitler paintings have gone for between $5,600 to $90,000 at auction. 

Thought to be of mediocre quality, many have debated the morality of auctioning off Hitler’s works, but the Weidler auctioneers argue that question should be addressed to sellers. 

In his autobiography, “Mein Kampf,” Hitler wrote of repeated attempts to be accepted into the Vienna Academy of Art, with the multiple rejections destroying his dreams of becoming an artist.
