The body of a man was found on Wednesday evening by a naval sonar in the waters of the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret).
It is believed that the body is that of 21-year-old Tal Kadoshim, a Border Police officer who went missing in April while on a Passover vacation in the area. The body has been transferred for identification.
The body was found at a depth of about half a meter at the bottom of the sea, and it is believed Kadoshim suffered serious injuries in his chest after the jet ski he was riding collided with a boat approximately a kilometer off the coast of Ein Gev.
Police believe Kadoshim was hit by the side of the boat, fell of the jet ski and drowned.
Several days after his disappearance, Kadoshim’s family called on the public to volunteer to come and help find the young man.
Although the chances of finding Kadoshim alive decreased as more time passed, his family stressed they had not lost hope.
