Poll: 24 Seats for Labor, Ha’am Itanu Gaining

Labor is on top again in yet another elections poll published Tuesday – and Yachad Ha’am Itanu may be on the upswing too.

Labor would garner 24 seats in the 20th Knesset, according to the Midgam poll for Channel 2; Likud is in second place with 22.

Jewish Home, Yesh Atid, and the Arab parties tie with 12 seats each, according to this set of results, followed by another three-way tie between Kulanu, Shas, and United Torah Judaism (UTJ) at 7 seats apiece.

Bottoming out this poll are Meretz and Yisrael Beytenu, with six seats each, and Yachad-Ha’am Itanu at five seats – one past the usual four mandates barely passing the Knesset threshold.

This is the third poll published Tuesday night; two others, published by the Knesset Channel and Haaretz, predict a neck-and-neck race between Labor and Likud and placed Ha’am Itanu at just four seats.

The Haaretz poll noted that some 21% of voters are still undecided, however – just weeks before the March 17, 2015 elections.

Similarly, some 24% of respondents are unsure over the best candidate for Prime Minister – with 44% preferring current Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and 32% preferring Labor leader Yitzhak Herzog.
