PM: Herzog’s First Move

At a Likud event for immigrants from France Sunday night, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that the Labor Party/Zionist Camp would make negotiating away Jerusalem one of their first priorities, if elected. “I heard Yitzchak ‘Buji’ Herzog say that if he was elected his first meeting will be with Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas,” Netanyahu said.

“What do you think they will be discussing there? Ramallah? They will be discussing Jerusalem, and we will never give up on Jerusalem. We will protect our eternal capital,” he said.

The event Sunday night marked the 30th day since the attack by Islamist terrorists on the Hyper Cacher grocery store in Paris. “Four people were killed, as they were in the previous attack in Toulouse, and in the attack before that in Brussels,” Netanyahu said, referring to recent terror attacks against Jewish targets in Europe. “It’s all part of the Islamist terror against Jews and all civilized people. We will not hesitate to say what needs to be said clearly.”

Netanyahu said that when he went to Paris and attended the funerals of the four victims of the Hyper Cacher massacre, he did so not as the Israeli head of state, but as representative of the Jewish people. Alluding to his upcoming address to Congress in Washington, Netanyahu said that despite the controversy, “I will go anywhere to ensure that the position of Israel is heard about issues that affect our survival, just as I went to Paris. I am talking about Iran, which says straightforwardly that it seeks to destroy us.”

Netanyahu called on the Jews of the world to immigrate to Israel “and to take part in the building of the present and future of our nation. I call on the Jews of the world to return to their homeland and become citizens. I must say that the Jews of France have resettled in a magnificent manner, they have contributed and continue to contribute to our wonderful lives here. I expect to see a massive immigration from France,” he added.

The prime minister vowed that his next government will not include the Labor party, and will include the Jewish Home.
