Jerusalem Councilman and Israel Land Fund (ILF) founder and director Arieh King has been outspoken in fighting for Jewish rights to the Israeli capital of Jerusalem – apparently Arab terrorists have taken note, and are targeting him.
ILF wrote on its official Facebook page on Wednesday that King “was informed yesterday by Israeli police that he has been targeted for harm by Islamic terrorists. He was advised to not walk alone, to inspect his vehicle regularly and to scan his surroundings for suspicious individuals.”
King’s home in Ma’ale Hazeitim, located on Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives, has already been the target of a shooting attack.
King told Arutz Sheva that police ignored his request for an investigation for nearly a month, until he spoke with the personal aide to the police superintendent, at which an investigative crew was sent.
In the Facebook post, ILF noted “if you live in the Jerusalem area and have a little free time to volunteer, Arieh is looking for someone to spend some time at his office in city hall while he’s there and to come along for some of his meetings outside the office.”
“You can volunteer for as much or as little time as you’re comfortable with. For more info, please call Yoel at 054-3331057. Please keep Arieh and his family in your prayers during this trying time for all Israel,” concluded the announcement.
The threat on King comes after an Arab terrorist shot Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick four times from close range late last month – miraculously Glick pulled through after the attack and is on the road to recovery.
Councilman King has warned about the dangerous situation in Jerusalem, where there are over 40,000 illegal Arab housing units that he says along with limited enforcement and a Jewish building freeze is part of an organized effort to divide the capital.
