Police have tried to hush up the “silent intifada” of rising Arab terrorism focused around Jerusalem in recent months, but apparently the uptick in recent weeks of high-profile lethal attacks has caused a change of policy, and a redefinition of the attacks as “Intifada 2014.”
A resident of Elon Moreh, located east of Shechem (Nablus) in Samaria, discovered the new policy and reported on it to Arutz Sheva.
The man had been targeted by an Arab rock throwing ambush on his way driving home from Jerusalem last Saturday night, and requested a monetary reimbursement on property taxes over the damage caused to his car.
The attack occurred in the vicinity of the Arab village Sinjil, located adjacent to Shiloh in Samaria’s Binyamin region. He noted “the car was damaged but we made it out in one piece thank G-d.”
As the week passed, the man asked for a financial reimbursement over the damage from the government, and needed a police letter of approval to do so.
When he received the approval, he was shocked to find that according to the police, the description of the event in which his car was damaged was defined as “Intifada 2014.”

The resident later complained after the property tax assessment gave him a mere 9,000 shekel (around $2,300) estimate. He will need to undergo a series of bureaucratic maneuvering, and only in another two months he is expected to receive the proper amount of money for the damage.
“I’m a yeshiva student and I don’t have accessible funds, so I was pressed to take a loan,” said the resident, noting on how the attack has harmed him financially.
The recent spree of Arab terrorism has been given backing by the Palestinian Authority (PA), as police struggle to contain daily riots and near weekly lethal attacks in the capital city in recent weeks.
